Angela established her own business development company in 2012 and currently has a portfolio of 4 voluntary organisations and 1 private sector company, carrying out a variety of assignments. Previously Angela was Chief Executive of St Cuthbert's Hospice, Durham for 6 years, and Managing Director of the Park House Company, the trading subsidiary of the Hospice.
Angela entered the voluntary sector after 14 years in the public sector in various social care roles and her first role was as Communications Director of a women's organisation in the USA. On returning to the UK after 3 years Angela became the Regional Manager for the 3 Northern regions for the national charity Help the Aged - now Age UK, for 7 years.
Angela has previously been a trustee of Age Concern North Yorkshire, Chairman of Hartlepool Hospice, and a director of North East Hospices Lottery Ltd in a voluntary capacity.
Angela was born in County Durham but only returned to live here in 2011and is very much enjoying living in a sleepy hamlet, and working across the North East. Her present portfolio provides her with a fantastic variety of challenges and opportunities to use her previous experience to the full.
