As a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and Institute of Training and Development, Brian has significant business administration experience and has volunteered for various organisations across the North East. After serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps for 26 years, Brian became an honorary divisional secretary and case worker of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen Families Association (SSAFA). In addition to this, Brian acted as regional director for Backcare from 1994 - 2002 after taking a lead role in establishing a local branch in the North East and is involved with Durham County Council's Citizen Panel. Brian has also completed an SASDA business course.
